Choose your tour, pick a date, a start time and your group size in the booking form: the price updates instantly. You then pay securely with Stripe and receive your confirmation by email straight away. Prefer to talk first? Contact us.
By credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and, depending on your device, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payment is processed by Stripe: we never see your card details.
Online booking closes 72 hours before the tour, so that we can assign the right guide and purchase your tickets. Travelling sooner? Contact us or WhatsApp us at +33 6 85 11 05 98: we will do our best to find a guide.
The private guided tour, the booking fee and, for museums and Versailles, your entrance tickets, which your guide pre-purchases. The price is for your whole private group, not per person — only entrance tickets depend on the number of visitors.

Confirmation emails are sent automatically right after payment. Please check your spam or junk folder first, then contact us if you still cannot find it.
Yes. Stripe sends you a receipt, and we can issue an invoice on request — just write to contact@compagnie-guides.com with your booking reference.
Yes, subject to guide availability: write to us with your booking reference. For museums, tickets already purchased may not be exchangeable.
Yes. You are refunded 100% if you cancel 30 days or more before the tour, 50% between 29 and 7 days, and nothing within 7 days. See our terms and conditions.
Please let us know first: an extra person can be added within the maximum group size of the tour, and entrance tickets will be adjusted.
In the rare event that we have to cancel (monument closure, strike, exceptional weather, no guide available), we offer you another date or a full refund.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start. Private tours start on time and end at the scheduled time, even if you arrive late.
Your guide will contact you by email or WhatsApp a few days before the tour, and wears a distinctive sign of La Compagnie des Guides on the day.
At the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay, visitors under 18, and EU/EEA residents aged 18 to 25, enter for free. Please bring an ID for each of them: the museum checks it at the entrance.
Light, foldable strollers are welcome. Wheelchair users are welcome too on most tours: just tell us beforehand so that we adapt the itinerary. Montmartre, with its many stairs, is not suitable.
Yes: your guide adapts the tour to your family. Our Madeline in Paris tour is designed especially for children.
“Guide-conférencier” is a protected title in France, obtained after a high-level university degree. Only licensed guides are allowed to guide groups inside the main national museums and monuments. All our guides hold this licence.
All the tours on this site are in English. Many of our guides also speak Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese or Korean: ask us.
